My journey into therapy began with a passion for capturing stories through photojournalism, but I soon realized that my true calling was to immerse myself in the lived experiences of those around me. This led me from Los Angeles to Amherst, Massachusetts, where I transitioned from documenting moments to deeply engaging with the ongoing narratives of individuals. With a graduate degree in psychodynamic therapy from Smith College, I have spent the past seven years working to create a therapeutic space where people can explore their most authentic and resilient selves. My practice is rooted in psychodynamic, relational, and somatic therapy, focusing on helping individuals process and reframe behaviors, address generational trauma, and navigate social justice and compassion fatigue.
As a Queer Black Femme, my work is deeply influenced by the socio-cultural narratives that shape our collective well-being. I specialize in complex post-traumatic stress disorder, particularly its impact on the identities we occupy. My practice is dedicated to providing LGBTQIA+ gender-affirming, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care, especially for BIPOC and other underserved communities. I am humbled by the opportunity to sit with clients in their moments of joy, pain, anger, and self-discovery. My commitment is to decolonizing therapy practices, creating a space where healing is possible, free from the stigmatization and harm historically perpetuated by traditional therapeutic approaches. Let’s work together to move from intellectual understanding to emotional and spiritual healing, in a space that honors and affirms all aspects of who you are.
I’m here to support you. If you have any questions or need more information, reach out. Let’s take this step toward healing together.
